Corlea Fourie grew up in the Free State, a province in the interior of South Africa known for its maize and cattle farming and not at all for its wines. Her father, however, came from a wine farm in the Northern Cape and as a young girl was introduced to the world of wine at Sunday lunches and on annual trips to the family farm. After completing her B.SC. degree in Oenology and Viticulture at Stellenbosch University she started consulting for Bosman Family Vineyards in 2006. The following year she joined the wine-making team and today manages the vineyard potential and wine objectives for the Bosman Family Vineyards and De Bos brands as Head of Wine and Viticulture.
